To Nyakiriket, advocacy is multi-faceted and shall be implemented as a core intervention, as an approach or a cross-cutting issue. This implies that Nyakiriket Consortium South Sudan shall support advocacy not only a significant Program intervention to address emerging power related dilemmas in the complex multi-stakeholder environment of South Sudan but also as a mainstreamed function across Nyakiriket Consortium South Sudan Program elements either as a cross cutting issue or an approach for delivering the Program priorities. Advocacy shall help address wider rights issues linking to national and international standards, obligations and mandates as defined by international instruments. It is important to note that, while Program activities shall help deliver short-term deliverables, by translating activities to outputs, advocacy shall help address wider policy concerns that can help transform the institutional dimensions for long-term change to occur.
